Roadmap & Future Goals

Tezz has rapidly grown from a simple transpiler into a robust ecosystem featuring advanced metaprogramming, OS-level concurrency, real-time WebSockets, and native standard libraries.

Recently Shipped âš¡

  • Declarative WebSockets: Native socket blocks for real-time bidirectional communication on Node.js and Cloudflare Workers.
  • PostgreSQL Driver: tezz-postgres with automatic connection pooling and parameterized query protection.
  • Redis Driver: tezz-redis with multiplexed connection reuse and native JSON helpers.
  • Type Annotations: Optional let x: int = 1 and fn foo(): string with compile-time type erasure.

Upcoming Focus Areas

  • Static Type Checker: Non-fatal compile-time type validation across functions and variable assignments.
  • Traits Implementation: class X implements Trait compile-time contract enforcement.
  • Enhanced Type Inference: Smarter type resolution across complex trait boundaries.

How You Can Help Make Tezz Better

Tezz is completely open-source and community-driven! We are actively looking for contributors to help build new standard libraries, improve the compiler, and refine the ecosystem.

Whether you want to add a new feature, fix a bug, or just improve documentation, your contributions are welcome!
